CouchGuard® Fabric Protection spray is a water based, non toxic stain shield treatment suitable for nylon, polypropylene, wool and all other fibres that are not affected by water. It can be applied to new and pre-cleaned fabrics. The advanced polymer technology coats and penetrates the fibres with an interlocking web making it very high quality repellant for water, grime and oils from everyday use plus controls the growth of mould, mildew and bacteria. This doesn’t mean you can apply the fabric protection and leave the item out in the rain and it will be totally dry.
CouchGuard® Fabric Protector also contains an Anti Allergy component which can help reduce allergens that trigger Hay Fever, Asthma, Sinus and Eczema.
Please note: Different weaves of fabrics will have different outcomes when tested. The tighter the weave the more the water / liquid will beed. The looser the weave the less the water / liquid will beed. This is normal. In this case, the fibres of the fabric are still protected.

Fabric Protector
The Anti Allergy component found in our Fabric Protector, provides a very high level of hygiene with instant and long-term results. Clinical tests prove that our Anti Allergy kills and controls a range of microorganisms. The same microorganisms that can trigger allergic reactions including Hay Fever, Sinus, Asthma and Eczema. Dust Mites and members of the spider family love to live in textiles. They feed on human and animal skin flakes and the associated Mould and Fungi. Our Anti Allergy works to keep your soft furnishings healthier and freer from microorganisms.
CouchGuard® Fabric Protector is water based and non toxic. When applied correctly, it will not change the look and feel or the colour of the fabric.
CouchGuard® Fabric Protector has the NON HAZARDOUS classification according to the National Health & Safety Commission.

How long does your protection last?
CouchGuard® Fabric Protector will last approximately 18-24 months depending on how often you have the fabric professionally cleaned and the solutions they use.
Is there an odour with your protection?
No. Its none toxic. Our Fabric Protection Spray is water based not solvent based.
Does your protection contain any animal products?
A. No. Definitely not. There is no testing on animals and our products contains no animal product. Its vegan!
Can I use this on rugs & carpet?
Most Definitely! Freshly cleaned or new carpets. Our Fabric Protection can be used on any material / fabric that's not effected by water.
How long does it take to dry?
Generally 1-8 hours depending on the weather. The warmer the day, the quicker it will dry. You should never over wet the fabric and allow each coat to flash off before appling the next.
Can I put this on my couch after its been steam cleaned?
Definitely. Just let the couch almost dry after the steam clean then apply as per the directions.
What is the mixing ratio?
Our Fabric Protection comes R.T.U. (ready to use). There is no mixing required.
What’s the difference between Scotchgard & Couchguard?
CouchGuard Fabric Protection is waterbased, non toxic and contains no harmful chemicals were as Scotchguard is a solvent so its flammable and contains chemicals now deemed to be unsafe. Scotchguard™ or Scotchgard™ is also a registed trademark and just a well known brand.

How To Use This Product
CouchGuard® Fabric Protection Directions, 250ml and 500ml:
1 Evenly mist spray CouchGuard® Fabric Protector onto selected area.
2 Allow to dry the repeat once using a different spray pattern to maximise even coverage.
CouchGuard® Fabric Protection Directions 1lt to 5lt:
1 If the couches are on timber or tiled floors, place a drop sheet or old towels around to protect the floor coverings. (not supplied)
2 First test the battery sprayer with water to adjust the spray pattern. You can do this by placing the pick up tube into the sink or a bucket before connecting to the fabric protection bottle.
3 Testing on a cloth or towel, adjust the fan width by turning the white adjustor on the sprayer. You want a wide even mist.
4 Evenly spray CouchGuard® Fabric Protector onto the couch in one direction. DO NOT over wet.
5 Allow to flash off then repeat once using a different spray pattern to maximise even coverage.
