  1. Mark Pendlebury (verified owner)

My order arrived today, and I just wanted to thank you for your prompt service and me actually being able to source parts for my electric lift chair that I thought would probably end up being replaced. Great job and thanks again.

  2. Ian English (verified owner)

Purchased a new transformer from CouchGuard for lift chair for my elderly mother in law and hey presto the chair worked again! No need to purchase a whole new chair. (To test to see if you need a new transformer place back up batteries In motor. If the chair works you just need transformer and not a new motor. )

  3. Faikah Behardien

Just wanted to say thanks for your quick response. The replacement transformer was exactly what we needed.

  4. Arnold Sushames (verified owner)

  5. Des Wing (verified owner)

    Great service.
Was expecting my part to arrive on the 3rd of January and it came on 28th Dec. Made my wife and our little dog happy to have her recliner fixed in such quick time.
    Thanks Tim.

Removing & Fitting General Electrical Components

  3. GentlyĀ turn the recliner over onto its side or on its back. Remember correct lifting
    methods.
  4. LocateĀ the component and its lead. Follow the lead along to the plug end rememberingĀ where it runs.
  5. UsingĀ a pair of side cutters, snip the cable ties that are retaining the lead
    to the frame.

  7. Check all other leadsĀ are out of the way of moving parts.
  8. TurnĀ the recliner back over to normal seating position
  9. PlugĀ the main power supply back into the wall.
  10. TestĀ the new component. Operate the lift chair recliner to its fullest position
and check that all the leads are clear and not stretched.
  11. ReturnĀ the lift chair to its normal seating position.
Tip: Check that all the leads are cable tied away from moving parts before
turning the power supply back on. Leads can sometimes get jammed between
moving parts causing a dead short after the chair is moved.
